A NEW HOUSE!

We are so excited!  We have purchased a new house!  Well it is a used house but new to us!  David found it just by driving around neighborhoods.  He was so excited to tell me about it and when I saw it, I hated it.  I think I just really wanted something newer and all to my specifications.  But we went in it several times and I just fell in love with it.  It is not a big house but lots bigger than where we were before.  Plus the coolest part is that it comes with a pool, hot tub and a natural gas fire pit in the large backyard.  It is an amazing backyard.  Along with all that is a place to play basketball and still room for a large patch of grass.  It is everything we were looking for.  Pootie LOVES our new house.  We bought him a little doggie door to go on the back sliding glass door and he can come in and out whenever he pleases.  He loves running back and forth in the backyard.  I absolutely love the kitchen. It is so big and open and lots of room for storage.  It needs a little updating but not much.
It is so nice to have room to stretch and to put our things.  I can fit ALL of my clothes in the closet rather than storing half of them underneath the house.  My washer and dryer are INSIDE instead of outside my house.  I actually have counter space to cook.  I have a REAL sized fridge.  I can't hear the neighbors phone conversation loud and clear when I am in my house with all the windows shut and so is he.
I think everyone should live in a modular home to start out their marriage.  Then you really appreciate all the little things when you finally buy a real house.
Before we moved in we had to paint like crazy and get new carpet.  We had so much wonderful help.  We are so grateful for family and friends that are so amazing!
We ordered Dominos pizza and sat around the fire with our friend Doug.
Pootie had hard time with the move.  He turned really needy and always wanted to be held.  He was so grateful that he found his toys in the garage.  He got out all his favorites from his toy box so he could play with them.  I got this picture by sneaking up on him digging in the little basket.  I looked all over for him and this is where I found him.

Panoramic from my iphone
Our cute little pool and hot tub.  Even came with a slide.
I felt like royalty with my name on the whiteboard.  So much signing!

He loves looking out this window.

THANKSGIVING 2012

We had Thanksgiving this year at David's parents house.  It was just really laid back and chill which was really nice.  I was in charge of making all the pies.  I made a banana cream, lemon cream and a couple apples. They turned out really delicious.  All the food was delicious and it was fun to see some of David's family that we hardly get to see.  My cute niece got engaged not long ago and it was fun to see her with her fiance.  I always make place cards for Thanksgiving as well but this year was not my best craft. I did not win the Martha award this year.  I made paper sacks into turkey legs.  I will for sure step it up next year.
I always eat the skins from the apples when I make apple pies and so here is David feeding Pootie some delicious apple skins

It looks like Christmas but this was really Thanksgiving.
I think everyone just sat around all night on their phones.

HALLOWEEN 2012

Halloween is pretty fun at work. We have a customer that is all about Halloween.  He brings us the funnest things to try to scare us.  This is Nuny from the walking dead tv show.  She was hiding in the backroom when I got to work.  It was pretty scary all right.  He also pulled up to our drive through with the other 2 scary women.  So I had to take a picture.

DRESSED IN WHITE

For a young women activity we dressed the girls up in wedding dresses and took their pictures in front of the temple so they could start to hopefully think about a temple marriage.  The girls loved my dress!  Here are all the pictures of the girls that wore my dress.  They looked so beautiful!

VISITORS

I love when people come down to visit me because I never get to see my family much.  So this summer lots of people came down.  Christie and Brandon came down and David and Brandon went and played golf while Christie and the kids came to my house and we went swimming.  Those girls are so darn cute.  It was a lot of fun.
Then Karlee and Chris were down for Pootie's birthday. We went shopping and just hung out for the weekend.  It was fun to see my sista.
Tiffany took Caden to Colorado to an allergy clinic and I took the boys for 3 days while she was gone.  We could not do much because it rained most of the time.  So we watched some tv and movies and finally got to go to the park the last day they were here.  I was super nervous in case they had an allergy reaction but we only had 1 mild one with Eric and we took care of it with benadryl.  I had a lot of fun with my fun nephews!

Anyone ever seen a covered wagon in a park? Only in a small town.

POOTIE'S 2ND BIRTHDAY BASH

Pootie turned 2!  So to celebrate, I bought him a cake (which he couldn't eat but was delicious in my belly) and treats and a toy.  We had a family party for him.  I was in charge of dinner and to make it even more exciting, we had no power for 3 days.  So we ran an extension cord from the neighbor into our bedroom window and had 1 outlet to use to make dinner.  It actually turned out pretty good. Karlee was here so I even made her wrap Pootie's presents.  My nephews helped Pootie open his presents for him.  He was super excited and it was a lot of fun.  I know I know. I'm weird.  But I don't have kids so I have to treat him like one.

JUST FOR FUN

We like to go to these falls a lot because this is where we were engaged so it is really fun for us to go back and remember that day.  We loaded up the dog and put him in the back of the motorcycle and drove up there.  It was too cold to swim but David jumped in anyways.  He made our Pootie swim with him.  He does not really like to get in the water but David likes to throw him in.
