HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVID!

For David's birthday this year we went to California. His dad has an rv parked in palm springs so we headed down to stay in it.  We stayed at a nice rv park resort.  It was beautiful.  It had hot tubs that had natural hot spring water in them. We were within a short distance to lots of shopping and food.  We hung out in downtown palm springs the first day with his parents.  The next day we explored the city and went golfing.  Sunday we drove up to Simi Valley to see my friends Amber and Leon.  They took us down to Santa Monica pier and we went to see a Clippers game.  We ended up getting tickets on the 11th row for really cheap.  It was so exciting to see the game up so close and we could actually smell the players sweat!  California was so beautiful and the weather was perfect.  It was a fun birthday vacation for David.  Happy Birthday my love!

A place called Kelso Depot.  It was a cute little train stop back in the day.

There were windmill farms everywhere!  They were so amazing. Like millions of them! So cool!

We went to see Ronald Reagan library where he is buried. My friends live like 2 minutes from here.

MAMA'S BIRTHDAY

It was a short trip for my  mom's birthday to salt lake.  We weren't there very long.  We met everyone at the Church museum downtown in the kid's play area.  They have blocks, fishing, cars, costumes and lots of other things for the kids to play with. ....(even the big kids!)...  We went to visit my grandpa while we were there and he wanted to give us all the grandma sweaters while we were there so we tried them all on.  The truck broke down that we were supposed to drive home so David had to fix it.  I was bored so I took a lot of pictures of him fixing it.  And the most exciting part, Pootie learned to potty at other peoples houses.  We stayed with David's sister Heidi and he finally learned to not pee in her house but to scratch the door when he had to go! I love it!

I love Caden's serious face.

THE WAVE

We went hiking to a place called the Wave.  It is in Kanab.  Karlee has wanted to go for several years.  You have to be in Kanab and put in for a drawing because only 20 people can hike it a day.  She has been coming down here once a year for about 7 years putting in for the lottery and not winning a ticket but finally this was her year. They put in for a sunday and got it!  So 6 of us went.  It was about 6 miles round trip.  It was kind of a hard hike.  I hurt for days after!  It was a lot of uphill on rocks and in sand.  But it was so beautiful once we got there!  It was so amazing. It was a sandstone formation shaped like a wave.  Karlee was so excited to actually be there on the hike!  I am glad we got to go with her.
