WELCOME HOME ELDER!

David's brother returned home from his mission yesterday. He served in Georgia. It was so much fun to make a poster and go to the airport to welcome him home. I was kind of expecting to him to act like we were aliens and not talk to us like Buddy did when he came home but Elder Peterson was totally normal and talked to everyone. He was extremely happy and glowing when he walked off that plane. What a sweet experience. We are so excited to have him home!

SLEDDING!

We went sledding a while back with some of our friends. It was so much fun. We drove up to BrianHead where they had this sled hill with several lanes. You just got on your tube and up the mountain you went. We spent a couple hours on the mountain. We raced down and I even won some of the times! Go me! It was a fun get away for the day.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

Valentines day was simple yet fun this year. David picked me up from work...since our car was broken...and gave me a chocolate flower (the best kind of flowers) and some glasses for our sparkling cider. He told me he would take me to dinner and we could rent the chick flick of my choice! I loved that! So I was tired and not very hungry so I came home and made us some leftovers and we rented a chick flick and we drank our bubbly. It was so fun just to spend some time together.

For my work party, I had to bring a Valentines treat. I saw these cupcakes with roses on them on the internet. I wanted to try them. So I made the cupcakes and when it came time to put the roses on with fruit by the foot, I miserably failed. I asked David to try and this is what he came up with. He did amazing!! They turned out perfect! I can't believe my little rose chef! So if any of you out there need a rose made out of fruit by the foot...David is your man!

Even little Pootie got a Valentine! Look at his big grin. He is showing off some teeth in this picture. He loves a good teddy bear.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KARLEE!

We came up the weekend of Karlee's birthday to go through the temple with our nephew Tyler who has been called to the Independance Missouri mission. It was so exciting to see him go through the temple and I have never been through the Salt Lake temple. I was married there but that is all we did that day. So it was neat to return again. We sat in the celestial room on the same couch where we waited to be married. It was so neat. I love going to the temple.

While in Salt Lake, we stopped in to see the progress of my parents new house. My dad had made these beams to go in the living room where there are really tall ceilings. They looked so big in his shop and then when they went in, they look so small up there on the ceiling. But they look so amazing! They really make the place look great.

Happy Birthday Karlee! We were able to have dinner with the birthday girl. Look at her! She is getting so old!
