FUN WITH FRIENDS

Our friends have a dog so we like to go take them places together.  We drove up to pine valley and walked around a little.  It was so beautiful and it was nice to get out of the heat.  The dogs had a grand time running all over the place. 

 

24TH OF JULY 2012

For the 24th of July we went to my Grandmas cabin.  I was sad because we did not get to go over the 4th but we were able to go on the 24th with the family for my birthday.  It was a great time.  I played with my cousins little girls the whole time. They are so super cute. We spent a couple days playing and then had a fun little party at Lava Hot Springs for my birthday.  We went swimming and went down the slides.  Caden was scared to go down the slides at first but he loved them so much after we convinced him to go, he was going all by himself down them.  Coming home was not my favorite thing. I threw almost the whole way home and all night long then spent my birthday in bed with a fever.  At least I got to have a fun weekend before I got sick!

Hello Hottie!

Dad ended up with a little sunstroke and a super monster burn after his tanning session.

4TH OF JULY 2012

This year I was a little sad, we did not go to my Grandmas cabin this year.  We stayed in St. George and did festivities around home.  We woke up and went to the Leeds town breakfast with our friends then later that evening we went into St. George to the dixie sunbowl for some fun.  My friend works at skywest and they were putting on a little shin dig.  We got free dinner, cookies, flags, and a concert.  Then they had a beautiful fireworks display.  It was a lot of fun.  The next day we drove to Gunlock for a rodeo.  The rodeo had a lot of audience participation.  Some of the people we were with were in a donkey race.  It was a lot of fun.

FATHERS DAY 2012

We were up in Bountiful and spent half of fathers day with David's dad and half with my dad.  We met my dad at the park with Ryan and his little family and watched the kids play on the playground for awhile.  Then we went to Karlee and Chris's house where they made a delicious dinner of steak, chicken, rolls, fruit, corn and other delicious things.  They have chickens and we played with them for a minute as well.  I hope it was a great day for the Fathers!

SCHWENDIMAN FAMILY REUNION 2012

We had the Schwendiman Family reunion last week in Murray.  We started by going to see 0ur nephews in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.  They were 2 of the brothers.  And our niece Heather was in it was well as a dancer.  It was really good. They all did a fabulous job.  The next day we headed up Little Cottonwood canyon for some hiking.  It was a short hike but beautiful.

We then went to a park in Murray and played games and had lunch and dinner and a short program for the reunion.  It was a blast!

The next day we went to a place called Gilgal Gardens.  It was made by a bishop who was a very deep thinker apparently.  There were all sorts of different spiritual things from the bible and book of mormon. It was very interesting.

We went on a temple square scavenger hunt and explored the new city creek mall.

We visited Brigham Youngs grave site.  The kids enjoyed climbing all the statues that were there and then calling me over to take a picture of them.

It was a really fun time getting to know David's side of the family a little better and spending time with everyone.
